Member - Strengthening workforce sustainability and wellbeing working group
The FPM Executive Committee has approved the establishment of a new working group to progress one of the TAEC strategic priorities, "Strengthening Workforce Sustainability and Wellbeing." The objective of this strategic priority is to ensure a sustainable and supported workforce to deliver training, assessment, and accreditation activities. The DPA, Professional Affairs will chair and lead this new working group.
Key priorities include:
- Promote wellbeing initiatives for trainees, supervisors, and other key contributors to training.
- Monitor the capacity, workload, and well-being of the volunteer education workforce and adjust activity accordingly.
- Track trends in trainee numbers to inform future workforce planning and support regional capacity.
- Establish succession planning processes for key educational roles to maintain continuity and capability.
- Provide guidance to management on prioritising both core and strategic activities, as well as development and business-as-usual (BAU) activities across training, assessment, accreditation, Learning & Development (L&D), TUAC, and Examinations, ensuring alignment with available resources and workforce capacity.

DDG member - PG03 Major regional analgesia
We are seeking expressions of interest from fellows to participate in the review of the following professional document:
PG03 Major regional analgesia: the review of PG03 Guideline for the management of major regional analgesia and accompanying background paper PG03BP. We are seeking fellows with particular interest, experience, or expertise in this area.
Serving as a Document Development Group (DDG) member provides a valuable opportunity to contribute to the safety and quality of care for patients.

Accreditation reviewers
We’re seeking expressions of interest from FPM fellows (with at least three years of fellowship) to become accreditation reviewers.

CPD Emergency response activity development
We’re looking for fellows to help develop a new procedural CPD emergency response activity on ‘Early recognition and management of acute neurological complications in procedures’.

SIMG assessor
We’re seeking expressions of interest from FPM fellows (with at least three years of fellowship) to join interview panels assessing specialist international medical graduates in pain medicine. Fellows who have completed the SIMG process are especially encouraged to apply.
