Dr Jonathan Ramachenderan FRACGP, FFPMANZCA

New Fellow FPM Board member (WA)

Dr Jonathan Ramachenderan was elected to the role of FPM New Fellow and commenced his two-year term on the FPM Board in May 2025. He is based in Western Australia. Dr Ramachenderan is a Pain Medicine Specialist and Palliative Care Generalist, with fellowship qualifications in pain medicine and general practice (FFPMANZCA, FRACGP), and additional training in palliative medicine and anaesthesia.

Dr Ramachenderan currently works across the Acute Pain and Palliative Care Service at Joondalup Health Campus, and consults in Joondalup and Murdoch, while continuing to support regional Western Australia through visiting clinical services. He also serves as the Trainee Representative on the FPM Training Unit Accreditation Committee.

His professional interests include cancer pain, pain in older adults, end-of-life care, acute and interventional pain management, rural health, and clinical governance. He is deeply committed to physician wellbeing, high-quality training for future specialists, and improving access to pain care and education for regional communities.
