Dr Tipu Aamir, FFPMANZCA, MRCPsych

FPM Board member (New Zealand)

Dr Tipu Aamir is a specialist pain medicine physician and psychiatrist. He is a senior lead clinician at Auckland Regional Pain Services. 

Dr Aamir currently serves as Chair of the FPM Learning and Development Committee, member of the FPM Training and Assessment Executive Committee and is an ex-officio member of the FPM New Zealand National Committee. He is also an examiner, a training unit accreditation reviewer and a former Supervisor of Training. 

His professional interests include advancing the education and development of new specialists to ensure the continued strength and vitality of the pain medicine field. He is also committed to increasing awareness and recognition of pain medicine as a vital specialty within the broader medical community and the public.
