Registrations for the 2026 ANZAAG Symposium are now open!

Overview

Registrations are now open to the 2026 ANZAAG (Australian and New Zealand Anaesthetic Allergy Group) Symposium in Queenstown, New Zealand from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 March 2026. 

The theme of the meeting is "Off the beaten path: Updates in perioperative anaphylaxis". 

The Organising Committee invites prospective authors to submit their abstracts for presentation at the ANZAAG Symposium 6-8 March 2026.

Event highlights: 

  • Malcolm Fisher Prize session
  • Refining practice: Update on the new ANZAAG recommendations for perioperative hypersensitivity testing

The 2026 ANZAAG Symposium will be held at Crowne Plaza, Queenstown, New Zealand.

Cost and registration

Registrations are now open. Click here to register. 

Non-members of ANZCA can register online too. Once you have completed your registration you will be provided with a college ID number and prompted for a password. This will allow you to register online for future meetings as well so please keep your college ID number. 

Your registration will include refreshment breaks and sessions on Saturday and the welcome reception. Workshops on Friday, sessions on Sunday and meeting dinner will be at an additional cost.

All registration fees are quoted in New Zealand dollars and are inclusive of GST.

Call for abstracts for the Malcolm Fisher Prize

We have invited abstracts submissions based on original research, service evaluation, quality improvement or case series relating to perioperative allergy or anaphylaxis. 

The authors of the five best abstracts will be invited to present an oral presentation in-person in the Malcolm Fisher Prize session.

To encourage trainees, nurses and scientists to submit an abstract, those authors selected to present in-person at the Malcolm Fisher Prize Session will receive complimentary meeting registration and additional financial assistance to attend the symposium. This will be done on a case-by-case basis.  

Remaining abstracts will be published in the meeting app and will be available for viewing as ePosters at the meeting. 

The best presentation will be awarded the Malcolm Fisher Prize worh A$1000. 

Authors are to submit their abstract to the ANZCA events team

Abstract guidelines

Please view the abstract guidelines, including eligibility guidelines and abstract format  for awards and prizes. Abstract submissions will close at midnight Monday 15 December 2025. 

Authors will be notified by Friday 16 January 2026 whether their abstract has been accepted for the ANZAAG Symposium and if they have been selected for the oral presentation.
