2026 Austin Health and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre Perioperative Medicine Symposium
Registrations will open on Saturday 20 December for the 2026 Austin Health and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre Perioperative Medicine Symposium to be held in Melbourne from 20–22 March.
We are delighted to invite you to the 2026 Austin Health and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre Perioperative Medicine Symposium, taking place from 20–22 March. This meeting is designed to be easily accessible and offers an excellent opportunity to engage with perioperative clinicians, including anaesthetists, surgeons, nurses, and allied health professionals from across Australia and New Zealand.
We are pleased to announce our invited international speaker is Associate Professor Gunisha Kaur. A/P Kaur is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology, the Founding Director of the Human Rights Impact Lab, and Co-Medical Director of the Weill Cornell Center for Human Rights. The scientific program being held on Saturday 21 March at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne is broad ranging and will cover:
- Preop Optimisation
- Perioperative care
- Postoperative
- Panel session "From Propofol to Philosophy: No pressure…ask us what you dare!"
In addition to the symposium there will be several workshops held on Friday and Sunday at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne. These are hospital-based workshops covering key skills and scenarios in medicine. Workshops range prehabilitation/SDM, cardiac arrest, difficult airway and gastric ultrasound.

The program and registrations will be open on Saturday 20 December.
Your registration will include all refreshment breaks and welcome drinks. We encourage nurses and allied health to attend the meeting.
All registration fees are quoted in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST.
