The one-day Introduction to Anaesthesia training program (formerly called the Part Zero Course) is run each year in all regions and New Zealand to welcome new trainees into the ANZCA Training Program.

There's a lot to absorb when you start out as a specialist in training. We strongly encourage all new trainees to attend this free, one-day orientation training. It covers things you need to know about training to be a specialist anaesthetist, and it's a great opportunity to meet other registrars in your local training cohort.

Designed to help new trainees navigate their next five years of study, this course includes topics related to the ANZCA curriculum, introductory training, assessments/examination and work-life balance.

This course is delivered by advanced trainees, consultants and provisional fellows in New South Wales. This course will include information on:

  • How to use the training portfolio system (TPS)
  • Doctors' health and wellbeing
  • Training structure and resources
  • Opportunities to get to know current registrars and provisional fellows

There is no cost to attend this course. More information and how to register will be posted soon.
