2024 Tasmanian Trainee Day

Hello and welcome to the Tasmanian Trainee Day for 2024.
This is an annual event specifically for anaesthesia trainees and junior doctors, run by Tasmanian trainees, and leading into the Tasmanian Annual CME Weekend.

Over the course of the day, we will deliver an incredible national line-up of speakers covering content relevant to training in anaesthesia and exploring the idea of diving off the deep end. Sessions will cover topics including specialty careers in anaesthesia, exam preparation, critical thinking in emergency situations, and approaches to management of challenging patients.

Some of this year’s highlights include a talk on human factors in anaesthesia and training from Associate Professor Stuart Marshall, exam tips and preparation tailored to primary and fellowship examinations delivered by Dr Greg Bulman (primary examiner) and Dr Vida Viliunas (previous final exam chair and ASA education officer), and a session exploring obstetric anaesthesia.
The day concludes with an interactive panel discussion from our keynote speakers, followed by drinks and canapés onsite at the freshly opened Tasmania ANZCA office.
We look forward to meeting you on the day.
