Ahpra – Sexual misconduct reforms under the National Law
Sexual misconduct by registered health practitioners will now be permanently recorded on the public register of practitioners.
Ahpra has released a media release and a practitioner guide that provide a high-level overview of the reforms, including strengthened expectations and regulatory responses in relation to sexual misconduct.
These changes are intended to enhance patient safety, improve clarity for practitioners, and support a more consistent approach across the national scheme.
