EOI to join GESC

Are you an ANZCA fellow or trainee with an interest in gender equity? Do you want to be part of initiatives to bring awareness and support gender equity in the workforce? 

The GESC goal is to achieve visible gender equity across training, clinical practice, research and education, leadership and continuing professional development and reports to the Professional Affairs Executive Committee (PAEC). Consistent with AZNCA’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Framework, we aim to broaden our scope and address other sources of inequity and disparities within our profession. 

The committee convenes approximately four times a year, and we highly encourage members to actively participate in projects, with activities in 2026 including: 

• Online module Understanding and Addressing Unconscious Bias [Learn@ANZCA] 
• GESC Parental leave webinar – 19 Sept 2026 (recording)
• 2026 ANZCA ASM GESC Equity in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine Breakfast (recording)
• 2026 International Women’s Day (IWD) Resource pack (March 2026)
