Faculty of Pain Medicine submits 2026–27 pre-budget proposal to Australian Treasury.
The faculty has lodged a 2026–27 Australian Government pre-budget submission to Treasury, seeking targeted investment to progress Goal 2 of the National Strategy for Health Practitioner Pain Management Education.
Following the successful delivery of Goal 1, which culminated in the development of Australia’s first Standards for Health Practitioner Pain Management Education, soon to be formally launched, the submission proposes a nationally consistent pain management competency and capability framework to support implementation of the Standards.
