Highlights from the 2025 ANZCA ASM: Day 4

As the sun (finally!) sets on another ASM, there is much to reflect on.

And that's a wrap!

Over five days 1945 in-person delegates heard from 263 speakers, workshop facilitators and contributors (including six keynote speakers) over six plenary sessions, 49 concurrent sessions, and 115 workshops. Thank you to Dr Andy Potter and the Cairns Regional Organising Committee for a fantastic meeting and their commitment to futureproofing our profession.

Interviews with keynote speakers

  • Dr Liz Crowe is a staff wellbeing specialist, and spoke to Dr Aylin Seven about insights she’s gained during her work with grief, how medical departments can foster a culture of wellbeing, and what resilience means to her.
  • Associate Professor Chris Connor, from the United States, gave the Mary Burnell Lecture, “Reverse engineering BIS”. He spoke with Dr Joyce Leung about technology in anaesthesia.

We'll be adding interviews to our 2025 ASM playlist throughout the next five days.
