Following an expression of interest process, FPM has appointed Dr Kieran Davis and Dr Dilip Kapur to Director of Professional Affairs roles supporting the faculty’s education, training and professional standards work.

  • Dr Kieran Davis has been appointed Director of Professional Affairs, FPM Education, commencing 1 May 2026 at 0.2 FTE. In this role, he will work closely with Dr Melissa Viney to support the FPM Education portfolio.
  • Dr Dilip Kapur will commence as Director of Professional Affairs, FPM Professional Affairs on 1 June 2026 at 0.4 FTE, succeeding Associate Professor Michael Vagg in the role.

Both roles report to the Executive Director of Professional Affairs, Dr Vanessa Beavis, and play an important part in supporting FPM’s education, training and professional standards work across the college.

Dr Davis and Dr Kapur are both former Deans of the Faculty of Pain Medicine and bring deep clinical experience, strong knowledge of the College, and a sustained commitment to pain medicine.

We congratulate Kieran and Dilip on their appointments and thank Associate Professor Michael Vagg for his valued contribution to the Director of Professional Affairs role.
