Society of Anaesthesia of PNG Virtual Annual Scientific Meeting 2021 - POSTPONED

Saturday 6 November, 2021 - POSTPONED

Due to the rapid escalation of COVID-19 cases in Papua New Guinea placing significant pressure on hospitals, departments and staff, the Society of Anaesthetists of PNG Virtual Annual Scientific Meeting working group have made the decision to postpone the November meeting.

The ANZCA Global Development Committee maintains close contact with our colleagues in PNG and will continue to support them wherever possible.
 

Pacific online education sessions

To support our colleagues in the Pacific, ANZCA, along with the ASA and NZSA are hosting regular online education sessions thoughout 2021. Sessions are broken up into target audience and topic. The table below details confimed upcoming and past sessions available. Please note, all times are displayed in Australian Eastern Standard Time.

Library Guides - Asia-Pacific resources

The Asia-Pacific resources guide promotes key anaesthesia and pain medicine books and journals available online to local doctors in areas supported by the Global Development Committee such as Papua New Guinea and Fiji.

These resources are primariy curated from Hinari which provides free acess via a log-in to registered institutions in these countries, information about registering, or seeing if your institution has access to Hinari can be found here.  

Interplast and ANZCA joint online education series

Interplast and ANZCA continue to host  education webinars to support our colleagues working in low resource settings.

Webinar recordings - At the completion of each webinar, a recording will be available for all to access. Please note you will need to register to access the Praxhub platform.
