Dr Sean McManus

President, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (2018-) Chair, Indigenous Health Committee
Sean joined the ANZCA Council in 2014 and is the Honorary Treasurer.
Sean is a senior specialist in intensive care at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital ICU, Qld. His interests include patient safety, clinical leadership, developing world anaesthesia and perioperative medicine.
He has been involved in the college as the 2009 ANZCA annual scientific meeting convenor, Queensland Regional Committee chair, Training Assessment Committee and international medical graduate specialist assessor.
Sean sees an important goal for ANZCA to develop and expand the roles of Fellows outside the operating theatre.
