Service Medical Director, Anaesthesia & Perioperative Medicine

Monash Health is seeking an accomplished leader to oversee the Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine.
The Service Medical Director will:
- Provide strategic and clinical leadership, ensuring safe, effective, and reliable service delivery across all Monash Health sites.
- Collaborate with key programs and departments including Radiology, Women's & Newborn, Children's, Victorian Heart Hospital, Emergency and Intensive Care, and Jessie McPherson Private Hospital.
- Deliver expert guidance in anaesthesia, perioperative medicine, and pain management in partnership with surgical and medical specialists and the broader multidisciplinary team.
- Partner with the Surgical Program Leadership Team, Heads of Unit, and other clinical leaders to advance quality, safety, and patient experience.
- Maintain strategic oversight of performance, driving excellence in outcomes, service standards, and workforce capability
