Welcome

Another great event brought to you by ACE – a tripartite collaboration of ANZCA, ASA and NZSA.

Welcome to Airway Management SIG 2026 – “One Airway, One Team”

Registrations are now open for the 2026 Airway Management Special Interest Group (SIG) meeting, to be held on Thursday 27 August at the Elysium Noosa Resort, Queensland. This meeting will take place at the same venue as the Safe Airway Society (SAS) 2026 Annual Meeting, which will be held on the preceding day. If you wish to register for the SAS 2026 Annual Meeting, please click here.

This year’s program brings together an outstanding faculty, including Professor Matt Wiles (UK), for a practical, high-impact day focused on modern airway management. From difficult airway assessment and awake techniques to extubation decision-making, new equipment, and systems-based practice aligned with the latest guidance from the Difficult Airway Society, the meeting is designed to deliver insights you can apply immediately. The program will also feature expert speakers from Australia and New Zealand, who will contribute their knowledge and experience to an engaging and comprehensive program.

Join us for a day of shared learning, team-based thinking, and contemporary airway practice — all set against the backdrop of Noosa’s stunning beaches and relaxed coastal atmosphere.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Sincerely,

Dr Nadia Koehler Vargas, Dr Andrew Lonergan, Dr Linda Beckmann and Dr Rani Chahal
