2026 ACT ACE Scan and Ski Workshop

On behalf of ANZCA and the ASA, we warmly invite you to join us for the 2026 Scan and Ski Workshop at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel. Now in its fourth iteration, the workshop continues to be an extremely popular event on the ACE calendar.

Location and venue

The 2026 Scan and Ski Workshop will be held at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel within Kosciuszko National Park, NSW.

Hands-on ultrasound scanning and instruction will be held during the morning and evening sessions, leaving the middle of each day free for skiing or sightseeing in the beautiful Snowy Mountains.

The workshop will cover upper-limb blocks, lower-limb blocks, trunk and spinal blocks, among other topics.

Welcome reception
Welcome drinks will be held from 7pm on Wednesday 29 July. The welcome reception is included in the registration fee. Guest tickets can be purchased for $55.
  
Après ski refreshments
Afternoon refreshments will be held from 4-5pm daily and are included in the registration fee. Guest tickets can be purchased for $55 per day.
  
Workshop dinner

The workshop dinner will be held from 8.00pm on Friday 31 July at The Denman restaurant. The workshop dinner is included in the registration fee. Guest tickets can be purchased for $110.

All registration fees are quoted in Australian dollars and inclusive of GST. 

Registration fee: $1,760.
 
The registration fee includes welcome drinks, attendance at the workshop over two days (including afternoon refreshments), and the workshop dinner.

Additional tickets for social functions can be purchased for your guests.

Event cancellation policy
Due to the significant logistical costs of running this event no refunds will be given for delegate cancellations notified within eight (8) weeks of the event.
 
Terms and conditions

Accommodation

Accommodation is not included in the registration fee. If you wish to stay at the workshop venue (Thredbo Alpine Hotel) it is advisable to book early as the event falls within peak winter skiing season. To contact the hotel please email [email protected] and mention that you are with the Scan and Ski Workshop to secure one of the rooms that we currently have on hold for the event. Please note that we have reserved a limited number of rooms for the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights only. 

Continuing professional development (CPD)

This event is claimable by ANZCA and FPM CPD participants within Category 2: Knowledge and skills – short format learning. Participants in the ANZCA and FPM CPD Program will automatically have their attendance auto-populated in the pending folder of their CPD portfolio within 14 days of the conclusion of the meeting.
