Bondi massacre
A statement from ANZCA President, Professor Dave Story.
Many of us will still be reeling from the tragic massacre at the Hanukkah Festival in Bondi, NSW on Sunday 14 December.
We recognise the devastating emotional toll, particularly for our colleagues in the Jewish community.
ANZCA extends its deepest sympathies to the victims, families and all those affected by the shooting and terrible loss of life. Terrorist attacks on our community are abhorrent.
We acknowledge the extraordinary efforts of our fellows and trainees involved in the ongoing care of the victims, along with first responders and other healthcare workers.
The college has been in contact with our professional support provider, Converge, who will be providing prioritised support for fellows and trainees affected by this tragedy.
