College archives

Our archives document the history and administration of the college, and its predecessor, as well as records of the Faculty of Pain Medicine and the Chapter of Perioperative Medicine.

The archives service can be used by staff, fellows, trainees, as well as the public/ researchers.

The role of the archives is to preserve and manage records, as well as maintain the security and privacy of these records. Increasingly, the types of records we handle are born digital, but the college still maintains a large physical collection.

Some of these physical records are also available digitally, or can be digitised upon request, to ensure accessibility and preservation.

The archives are a rich source of primary material about the history of the organisation, and many individuals within it, including:

  • Photographs and images.
  • Awards and honours information.
  • Obituaries.
  • Fellow lists by year.
  • Committee, board, and council minutes.
  • Curriculum information.
  • Annual reports.
  • Publications.
  • A range of other organisational records.

The archives can be contacted via email at [email protected].
