Chapter of Perioperative Medicine governance and guidance

The POMSC reports to the ANZCA Council on the development and implementation of an effective integrated perioperative care model and education offerings for Australia and New Zealand.

The purpose of the Recognition Pathways Working Group (RPWG) is to develop the process for and subsequently assess and recommend applicants for recognition (“grandparenting”) of the graduate of the Chapter of Perioperative Medicine of ANZCA - GChPOM

The Perioperative Care Working Group (PCWG) developed the perioperative care framework.

The Perioperative Medicine Economics Working Group (POMEcWG) provides oversight of economic modelling and development of a cost-benefit analysis of perioperative medicine.

The Perioperative Medicine SIG has three aims: Improving patient safety and outcomes; collaborating and sharing knowledge with other specialist groups; and developing perioperative medicine with various craft groups.

The Perioperative Medicine Content and Assessment Working Group is responsible for the development of the diploma course content, assessment activities and learning resources.
