New ANZCA leaders appointed
Dr Tanya Selak and Dr Debra Devonshire have been formally appointed as ANZCA President and Vice-President respectively.
Dr Selak, a specialist anaesthetist from Wollongong, took on the role on Tuesday 5 May at the ANZCA Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) in Auckland, a city where she was born, trained and began her anaesthesia career.
Dr Selak is the college’s first president from a regional centre. She is a strong advocate for equitable access to high-quality healthcare, including support for clinicians working in regional areas.
Dr Selak and Dr Devonshire's appointments run for two years.
