Honorary FPM fellowship

From time-to-time, the FPM Board may confer honorary fellowship on distinguished persons who have made a notable contribution to the advancement of the science and practice of pain medicine and who are not practising pain medicine in Australia or New Zealand.

Holders of an honorary fellowship will not be able to use that fellowship to support entry into the specialist register of the Medical Board of Australia or vocational register of the Medical Council of New Zealand.

Nominations must be formally proposed and seconded by two members of the FPM Board, and submitted in writing along with the nominee's CV at least 28 days before the board meeting. Read by-law 3.3 for full details on the process for conferring honorary FPM fellowship.
