Applications open for the 2025 Sandy Zalstein Award

Awarded to an ANZCA anaesthesia advanced trainee or provisional fellow dedicated to improving trauma services in Tasmania.
The annual ANZCA Sandy Zalstein Award was established in 2024 by the Zalstein family and the college through the ANZCA Foundation, in memory of Dr Sandy Zundel Wolf Zalstein.
Dr Sandy Zalstein was an ANZCA fellow who made significant contributions to anaesthesia and the infrastructure for trauma and emergency medicine in Tasmania.
Applications are now open! We invite all Tasmanian-based ANZCA anaesthesia advanced trainees or provisional fellows dedicated to improving trauma services in Tasmania to apply. For full details on the eligibility criteria and the selection process, head to the award page.
